The WiFi Smart Selangor is a FREE public WiFi initiative introduced by the Selangor State Government as part of the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang to be an important component in the development of the Smart Digital Eco-System. This effort was placed to enable Selangor to be a state-of-the-art and competitive state, in line with the State Government's intention to become a Smart State by using Industry Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) technology.
WiFi Smart Selangor hotspots are located in strategic clusters across Selangor, with a focus on target groups in rural and traditional villages.

There are now almost 800 free WiFi hotspots throughout Selangor with a total registered user of around 1 million users, with more hotspots being installed. Our target is focused on the needs of technology utilization by providing better free WiFi service to the B40, M40, youth, and students who desperately need access to the Internet. WiFi Smart Selangor facilitates citizens to conduct e-commerce & e-government transactions, and continuity of learning & education activities using online learning platforms in the new norm era post-Covid-19.
