On the 31st of July 2022 during the Jelajah Iltizam Selangor Penyayang in Gombak, Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS) launched the Skim Pinjaman Teknologi Asas Selangor (SEPINTAS) or better known as the Desktop & Laptop Loan Program, and Phase 1 of the PPAS Internet Network Development Project was also launched

SEPINTAS and the PPAS Internet Network Development are part of the Selangor Digital Education Ecosystem, a collaboration between PPAS and SMARTSEL.

On the 7th of December 2021, Tourism Selangor has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SMARTSEL to develop and improve high-speed Internet networks at selected public zones and tourism spots.

Present as witnesses were Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, state tourism, environment and green technology, Orang Asli affairs committee chairman Hee Loy Sian and state infrastructure and public amenities, agriculture modernisation and agro-based industry committee chairman Izham Hashim.

On the 4th of December 2021, SMARTSEL, together with thier strategic patner, Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS), launched the 'Selangor Digital Education Network' at the Pesta Buku Selangor 2021. The launch was officiated by Dato' Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Slenagor's Chief Miniter.

On the 28th of August 2020, SMARTSEL and Sungai Klang Link Sdn Bhd (SKL)  has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in planning, designing, development and construction of digital infrastructure or network with the aim to provide Digital Infrastructure, Services & Smart City Solutions along the soon to be built SKL Highway

On the 10th of December 2019, SMARTSEL hosted their first SelTalks session at the Auditorium Dato' Seri Harun Idris, PKNS. SelTalks are a series of discussions aimed at highlighting the efforts to turn Selangor’s telecommunication infrastructure and bridge the digital divide.

This very first forum talks about “Why Selangor Needs A Neutral Internet Infrastructure Provider” and it seeks understand how to connect the Rakyat that are not connected.

The speakers included:

- Encik Roni Shah Mustapha, Head of Business, Communications and Marketing Division of Cyberview

- Encik Fauzan Bin Elham, Assistant General Manager in Business Development of Selangor Industrial Corporation (SIC).

On the 10th - 12th October 2019, SMARTSEL was part of the Selangor International Business Expo launched at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MiTech) organised by Invest Selangor  under the patronage of Selangor State Government returns for the 3rd edition this year. It purposes is to serves as an example of Selangor's aim of being a Smart State. SIBS is an international event which brings together global brands and industry players from the region. Having attracted high-profile official sponsors, strategic partners, local and international media partners, the event highlights its relevance to the local and ASEAN economy. SMARTSEL was part of MBI's pavilion, where MBI showcased their initiatives for each Smart Domains.

On the 30th of August 2019, SMARTSEL has officially launched their connectivity services to Kuala Selangor and INPENS International College (INPENS).

The launch was officiated by YB Tuan Ir Izham bin Hashim, Selangor EXCO on Infrastructure & Public Facilities, Agricultural Modernization and Agro-based Industry.

The launch of the SMARTSEL Digital Network (SDN) Node1 at INPENS in Kuala Selangor is a key milestone for the Selangor State to bring accessible and affordable high-speed connectivity to rural and underserved areas.

On the 13th of June 2019, SMARTSEL has launched the Selangor Geospatial Management System (SELGEM) Project, a joint venture between SMARTSEL and IMOSS Technology Sdn. Bhd. (ITSB). The launching was done at Dewan Jubli Perak Ballroom, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam in conjunction with SMARTSEL's Aidilfitri Open House. MBI's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) YM Raja Shareen bin Raja Othman gave the opening speech together with YAB Dato' Menteri Besar of Selangor, Tuan Amirudin Shari.

INPENS visit to SMARTSEL

On the 8th of May 2019, representatives from the INPENS International College at Kuala Selangor, a Certified Skills Training Centre for the Selangor State Government under MBI, came to visit SMARTSEL to learn about the telecommunication industry and to visit SMARTSEL’s Node 0 to understand where and how they receive their internet. Representatives of INPENS includes; Encik Ahmad Zabri bin Mohd Yaman, CEO of INPENS, his management staff, lecturers and students from the INPENS Information & Electronics Technology Sector.

SMARTSEL participation at Raja Muda even

On the 27th of April 2019, SMARTSEL was invited by INPENS to be one of the participants in the Yayasan Raja Muda Open Day in Kuala Selangor.  The objective of this event is to connect TVET students with the community through their relevant skills as well as to reach out to local community and increase awareness about TVET and its potential.

On the 26th of March 2019, a Joint Venture Ceromony was held at LIMA 2019 between SMARTSEL and IMOSS Technology to develop the Selangor Geospatial Management System (SELGEMS). The ceremony was witnessed by Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari and Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Modernisation of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries chairman Ir Izham Hashim.

On the 28th of February 2019, MBI held their 6th edition of their Selangor Synergies Forum series at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur. This forum’s theme was on “Digital Infrastructure” where they focused on bringing together stakeholders from the government, industries and civil society, to discuss the ways in which Selangor can enhance its position as a Smart State by focusing on strengthening its ICT foundations such as ensuring ultra-high-speed connectivity, boosting digital security, and bringing about an IT savvy population.

On the 27th of February 2019, Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor (KPRJ), an investment arm of Johor with a focus on social and infrastructure projects. came to visit MBI for an inaugural meeting to learn more on our Smart Selangor, Waste Management and Digital and Sports Infrastructure initiatives and business model, and explore collaboration. Delegates from KPJR was led by its CEO, Tn Hj Mohd Noorazam Bin Dato' Hj Osman and comprises several of its top executives in the group.

On the 14th - 21st October 2018, SMARTSEL was invited by KT Corp to their headquarters in Seoul, South Korea to discuss further on the collaboration between KT Corp and SMARTSEL, as well as brought the SMARTSEL team around South Korea to showcase KT's solutions in providing connectivity in both the urban and rural areas.

On the 13th - 15th September 2018, SMARTSEL was part of the Selangor International Business Expo's Smart City and Digital Economy Convention 2018 exhibition, showcasing our comprehensive Telecommunication and Smart City Solutions with our very own unique SMARTSEL booth.

On the 30th August 2018, SMARTSEL and KT Corp has signed an MOU to enter into partnership to develop the telecommunication infrastructure of the state of Selangor.

On the 16th-19th April 2018, SMARTSEL attended the DSA event at  MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, to find the latest in Smart City and IoT technology.

On the 12th March 2018, SMARTSEL team went to MIMOS to discover the Smart solutions MIMOS has to offer.
